So rich, so chewy, so ... perfect! This is guaranteed to become your go-to brownie recipe!
Preheat oven to 350° F. Lightly grease and flour a 9"x13" baking dish
Whisk together flour and cocoa powder in a medium bowl.
Place chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl and melt on high, stirring every 30-45 seconds until melted and smooth. Allow to cool slightly before miing in the eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla. Fold flour mix into chocolate mixture and stir until the dry ingredients disappear.
Pour batter into baking dish. Smooth the top and sprinkle on chocolate chips.
Bake 30-40 minutes or until a tester inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool completely in baking dish.
Place chocolate in a bowl. Heat whipping cream on medium-high on a stove top until it just begins to bubble and simmer. (Don't boil!)
Pour hot cream over the chocolate and allow to sit for a few moments before gently stirring with a spatula until smooth and creamy.
Remove brownies from dish. Drizzle with ganache. Allow ganache to firm before cutting into squares.
Rotating the pan half-way through the baking time will help the brownies to bake evenly.
The ganache can be made in advance and will keep overnight at room temperature or up to 2 weeks in an airtight container in the fridge. Warm for 10-15 seconds in the microwave to make it drizzle-able again!
When slicing, it's best to have a damp cloth nearby to wipe the knife blade between slices.
