The “Localist” series highlights local establishments, businesses, and startups in cities across Canada in an effort to encourage support of local goods and services.
Bobbette & Belle Artisanal Pastries was established by Allyson Bobbitt and Sarah Bell who first met while they were both teaching at a confectionery arts school and they soon bonded over an idea to bring French macarons and pastries to Toronto. They realized their vision with the founding of Bobbette and Belle and before long they opened their first retail location in Leslieville where they sold equisite specialty cakes, petite pastries, and gifts. They now have two locations in Toronto and recently published a baking book featuring some of their best loved and most requested recipes.
